(4) Determination of Safety Factor

Considering the load condition of prime mover, determine the safety factor

from the table below.

 

■Load condition of prime mover

Motors operated manually or with less impulsive load	1.0〜1.4
Used under conditions of rapid start, sudden stop or forward-reverse rotation	1.4〜1.8
Used under conditions of combined forces between impulse, tensile and compression forces and revolution	1.8〜2.4
